1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains what information JobLens collects, why it is used, how connected services work, and the controls available to you. JobLens is a product in the Lens ecosystem.
2. Information we collect
We may collect account information such as your name, email address, sign-in method and account status; career and profile information you provide, including resumes, work history, skills, preferences and application materials; job-search activity inside JobLens; application records and status history; connected-service data that you authorize; Browser Companion data as described below; device, security and operational logs; and information you send through support or contact forms.
3. Career and application data
JobLens uses the career information you provide to understand your profile, rank opportunities, prepare truthful application material, answer questions in AskLens and maintain your application history. You are responsible for making sure the information you provide is accurate and appropriate to use.
4. Connected services
Google sign-in, Gmail access and Browser Companion are separate connections. Connecting one does not automatically grant another. Gmail can be used to identify hiring-related messages and connect relevant events to your application journey. Browser Companion can assist on external application pages and, depending on your settings, can use relevant professional browsing context or save page summaries you explicitly ask JobLens to remember.
5. Browser Companion and browsing personalization
Browser Companion is designed to exclude private and sensitive surfaces from professional browsing personalization. Application assistance and browsing personalization are separate controls. JobLens does not intend to use Browser Companion to collect passwords, one-time codes, CAPTCHAs, banking information or similar sensitive credentials. You can turn browsing personalization and remembered page summaries off in Settings and can disconnect Browser Companion.
6. How we use information
We use information to provide and personalize JobLens; discover and rank opportunities; create and manage application materials; maintain application timelines; provide AskLens context; operate connected services; send requested or enabled notifications; provide customer support; protect the service from abuse and security threats; measure and improve reliability; and comply with applicable legal obligations.
7. AI and service providers
JobLens uses third-party infrastructure and service providers to operate features such as AI processing, authentication, email connections, hosting, notifications and payments. Data is shared with service providers only as needed to provide or secure the relevant function, subject to the provider relationship and applicable controls. AI-generated outputs can be imperfect and should be reviewed before use.
8. Your controls
JobLens Settings includes controls for in-product personalization, professional browsing personalization, AskLens context and remembered page summaries. You can manage connected services, export a snapshot of JobLens data and request permanent account deletion through the product. Browser and operating-system permissions, such as notifications, can also be revoked through those platforms.
9. Retention and deletion
We retain information for as long as needed to operate your account, provide the service, maintain legitimate operational records and meet applicable legal obligations. When you delete your JobLens account, the product is designed to remove the account and associated JobLens data. Limited records may be retained where required for security, fraud prevention, billing or legal compliance.
10. Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect JobLens accounts and data, including session controls, access restrictions and protected connection tokens. No online service can guarantee absolute security. The authentication and security model will continue to be reviewed as JobLens approaches wider launch.
11. Children
JobLens is intended for people managing a professional job search and is not designed for children. If we learn that information from a child has been provided inappropriately, we will take reasonable steps to address it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as JobLens, its connections or legal requirements evolve. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date on this page and, where appropriate, through an additional notice.
13. Contact
